METHODOLOGY
How we rate parking apps
Every app on ParkAppsHub receives an editorial score out of 5, built from five sub-scores out of 10. The same grid is applied to every app, from global platforms to single-city services, so scores are comparable.
The five criteria
- Ease of use — how fast a new user can start a parking session: onboarding, sign-up friction, clarity of the interface, payment flow.
- Coverage — the breadth and depth of the network: number of countries, cities and zones where the app genuinely works today.
- Pricing value — transparency and fairness of costs: convenience fees per transaction, subscription options, hidden charges.
- Feature set — what the app does beyond payment: reminders, extend-remotely, garage booking, availability prediction, business accounts.
- Reliability — stability and trustworthiness, weighted with real user feedback: billing accuracy, GPS precision, support responsiveness.
How the research is done
We combine hands-on testing with structured research: official coverage maps, store listings, changelogs, pricing pages, and a systematic reading of recent user reviews on Google Play, the App Store and consumer platforms. Sub-scores are set by our editors and re-checked when an app ships significant changes.
What we don’t do
We do not accept payment for reviews or scores, we do not let operators edit their reviews, and we clearly separate any future advertising from editorial content. If you spot an error, tell us — corrections are published promptly.
